Stronger Economy

Families in our community work hard and play by the rules, but it's hard to get ahead when property taxes are climbing, the commute keeps getting worse, and the state is always asking for more without delivering results.

I believe Maryland's economy should work for everyone.

That means attracting the right kinds of jobs to Baltimore County, building housing people can actually afford near where they work, and investing in infrastructure so growth doesn't just mean more gridlock.

Smart growth. Real results.

Fiscal Responsibility

Maryland families budget carefully every day, and it's time for state government to do the same.

I believe we owe taxpayers honesty, discipline, and thoughtful stewardship of public dollars. As a mom and teacher, I know how important it is to make a budget and stick to it. I’ll push for every state program to have measurable results, so we know what’s working, what’s not, and where to make changes.

By cutting waste and focusing on what delivers real results, we can prevent tax hikes and protect the services our communities rely on.

I will fight for responsible budgeting, greater transparency, and balanced finances, because when government works smarter, we can invest more in strong schools, safer neighborhoods, and better infrastructure.

Better Schools

Every child deserves a world-class education, and every parent deserves the confidence that public schools are preparing their students for the future.

I’ve spent over a decade in the classroom, helping students build the skills they need to succeed. I will fight to attract and retain great teachers with better pay and stronger support, while making sure struggling students get the resources they need to catch up and thrive.

As a teacher and a mother, I know what works and what’s falling short. I will push for responsible education spending that protects the programs our students rely on, without putting more strain on taxpayers.

Classrooms should be focused and safe. I will work with parents and educators to push for legislation that reduces distractions like smartphones.

By strengthening college and career readiness, we can ensure every graduate is prepared to succeed in today’s economy.

Accountable Government

Marylanders deserve a state government that actually delivers.

Utility bills and grocery prices are up and too many families are one unexpected expense away from crisis.

I will hold BGE and other utility companies accountable. Surge pricing that spikes your bill without warning is wrong, and Annapolis has the power to stop it.

I'll fight price manipulation at the grocery store, address the housing shortage driving up rents, and make sure every dollar of state spending produces real results for District 42.

Affordability

The cost of living has become unmanageable. Groceries cost more, prices of everyday essentials are up, and power bills are as high as $300 a month.

I know we have to tackle these costs head-on. I will fight for stronger oversight of utility companies like BGE to keep rate increases in check and protect consumers. At the same time, I support building more local energy, including renewables, to increase competition and lower costs long term.

By advancing smart housing reforms and infrastructure investments, we can ease pressure on family budgets.

I will work every day to make Maryland more affordable for everyone.

Safer Neighborhoods

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, whether they’re at home, at the grocery store, or out with their family.

I support investments in public safety that have helped drive violent crime in Baltimore to historic lows. But I know there’s more work to do.

I will crack down on repeat offenders and ensure there are meaningful consequences for crime, while expanding access to treatment to address the opioid crisis driving thefts.

I believe in a balanced approach. I will push to hold offenders accountable while creating real pathways for rehabilitation, so people don’t cycle back into the system.

I know long-term safety means tackling root causes, including mental health, early intervention for at-risk youth, and housing stability.

That’s how we build safer communities, not just for today, but for the future.
