Issues
Stronger Economy
Families in our community work hard and play by the rules - but property taxes keep climbing, the commute keeps getting worse, and it feels like the state is always asking for more without delivering.
I believe Maryland's economy should work for the people who live here, not just on paper.
That means attracting the right kinds of jobs to Baltimore County, building housing people can actually afford near where they work, and investing in infrastructure so growth doesn't just mean more gridlock.
Smart growth. Real results.
Fiscal Responsibility
When families are stretched thin, and bills keep rising, people ask a simple question: Are we getting our money’s worth?
I believe taxpayers deserve a clear answer. I’ll push for every state program to have measurable results - so we know what’s working, what’s not, and where to make changes.
By cutting waste and focusing on what delivers real results, we can prevent deficits and protect the services our communities rely on.
I will fight for responsible budgeting, greater transparency, and balanced finances - because when government works smarter, we can invest more in strong schools, safer neighborhoods, and better infrastructure.
Better Schools
Every child deserves a world-class education and every parent deserves confidence their school is preparing students for the future.
I have spent over a decade in the classroom, helping students build the skills they need to succeed.
As a teacher and a mother, I know what works and what’s falling short.
I will fight to attract and retain great teachers with better pay and stronger support, while making sure struggling students get the resources they need to catch up and thrive.
I support responsible education funding that protects our schools from future cuts, without putting more strain on taxpayers.
I also believe classrooms should be focused and safe, working with parents and educators to reduce distractions like smartphones.
By strengthening college and career readiness, we can ensure every graduate is prepared to succeed in today’s economy.
Accountable Government
Marylanders deserve a state government that actually delivers.
Utility bills are up, grocery prices keep climbing, and too many families are one unexpected expense away from real hardship.
I will hold BGE and other utility companies accountable - because surge pricing that spikes your bill without warning is wrong, and Annapolis has the power to stop it.
I'll fight price manipulation at the grocery store, address the housing shortage driving up rents, and make sure every dollar of state spending produces real results for District 42 - not talking points.
Cost of Living
Over the last five years, the cost of living has surged. Groceries cost more, everyday essentials are up, and too many families are seeing power bills climb as high as $300 a month.
I know we have to tackle these costs head-on. I will push for stronger oversight of utility companies like BGE to keep rate increases in check and protect consumers.
At the same time, I support building more local energy -including renewables - to increase competition and lower costs over the long term.
And by advancing smart housing reforms and infrastructure investments, we can ease pressure on family budgets and strengthen our local economy.
I will fight every day to make Maryland more affordable - for groceries, for energy, and for everyday life.
Safer Neighborhoods
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community - whether they’re at home, at the grocery store, or out with their family.
I support continuing the investments in public safety that have helped drive violent crime in Baltimore to historic lows.
But I know there’s more work to do.
I will work to crack down on repeat offenders and ensure there are real consequences for crime, while also expanding access to treatment and recovery to address the opioid crisis driving too many thefts and break-ins.
I believe in a balanced approach: holding offenders accountable while creating real pathways for rehabilitation—so people don’t cycle back into the system.
And I know long-term safety means tackling root causes, including mental health, early intervention for at-risk youth, and housing stability.
That’s how we build safer communities—not just for today, but for the future.
